Throne value is the current successful takeover amount—not a market valuation or predicted return.

Current value
Throne value equals the amount paid by the current King on that category.
Minimum takeover
Empty thrones show a starting price. After the first King, the next takeover must beat current value plus the category minimum increment.
Starting price vs current value
Changing a category starting price does not lower an already occupied throne value.
